Went I went raw, my weightloss topped after about 6 weeks. When I upped the calories, the weight started up again. Nice video.

I found this video especially interesting, especially since I am doing the old fashioned method of weight loss called calorie counting. Congratulations on your weight loss. I had to stop by today to see your pretty face and get my Bunny fix! Paula (formerly Imperfectly Raw) When I was debated the Raw Fu Challenge, I was also going to count calories. (((hugs)))

bunny, that’s all true … but there’s also something that happens if you eat protein and fats after a period of calorie restriction …. your body will almost immediately dump as many as several pounds of fluid and, i think, possibly protein … so, it could be lasting weight loss or temporary … and it is a result of being somewhat in “starvation mode” … i think as long as the trend is generally downward as far as weight you’re on the right track … xoxo

Hi, the season for jicama is short. Mid April through mid to end of June. Right now we can get them here in Texas, but, they are beginning to taste musky (old). Most of those we get here are from Mexico and they are terrific. The texture of a dense red radish but sweet more like an apple and crisp and crunchy. We like them raw with salt and lemon.
Good luck with your search. Just know that if you find one now, it’s not the best of the crop’s season.

They’re called the Mexican potato, so you’d probably have more luck at a Mexican market. Also, ask your produce manager!

Maybe your body is purging from the poison of cooked food. If your body is trying to cleanse because of the cooked food, then you would experience temporary, but accelerated weight loss.
Also, if you need more calories bananas would be better than veggies!
